Let's make it

  1. 01

    Cook the chicken

Heat oil in a wide, deep pot over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook, turning, for about 6–8 minutes until it reaches 165°F (74°C). Transfer to a clean plate.

  2. 02

    Simmer the pasta

Lower the heat to medium, add garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Add broth and pasta. Bring to a simmer and cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 8 minutes.

  3. 03

    Add the broccoli

Stir in broccoli and cream. Simmer for another 3–5 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and broccoli is tender. Add a little hot water if needed.

  4. 04

    Finish the pot

Return the fully cooked chicken to the pot and heat through. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan. Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve.

Cook poultry to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), checked with a food thermometer. FoodSafety.gov guidance ↗
